WITH ATIKU, THERE IS LIGHT AT END OF THE TUNNEL IN NIGERIA By Ogazi Ejesieme

It's becoming glaringly clear that the APC government led by Gen. Mohammad Buhari has failed Nigeria.
None of the promises made to Nigerians during their Presidential campaign in 2015 has seen the light of the day. Instead of decrease in prices of commodities as they vowed, prices have continued to increase on daily basis.
There was a party and a president who ruled and did everything possible to put Nigeria back on the right track. Under the leadership of PDP and President GEJ, Nigeria became African number 1 economy. Foreign investors were frequenting Nigeria and Nigerians were being gainly employed.
PDP under GEJ had selected individuals  who were captains of industries and economic experts as the economic management team for Nigeria. People like Alhaji Aliko Dangote who is Africa's richest man, Mr. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, who is also an economic genius, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who was then the Finance Minister and an economic guru were all members of the team and equally capable others.
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was made overall minister who was overseeing the happenings in other ministries. As a Finance Minister, she scrutinized the allocations of all the ministries in order to make sure the purposes for the monies were achieved. Can we say such about Kemi Adeosun of APC today?. Your guess is as good as mine.
It was same former Finance Minister  in the person of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala that advised that excess crude oil money should be saved for "rainy" days and not to be shared amongst governors. It was only Gov. Peter Obi of Anambra State that saved, while governors like Rotimi Amechi of Rivers State, Adams Oshiomole of Edo state and other powerful APC governors  took the then Jonathan's Government to court demanding for the monies to be shared. Alas, they won the case in the law court and had the money shared.
Today, we are all seeing where the sharing has landed all of us.  Only Anambra State saved and they are still enjoying the savings made by their former governor Mr. Peter Obi till date.
Today, the most deadliest of our predicaments is the issue of Fulani herdsmen and their cattle . These group of people have brought untold hardship and untimely deaths to thousands of unsuspecting Nigerians, yet, we have a president who in the face of all these ugliness claims "not to be in a hurry to make decisions".
My fellow countrymen and women, we are doomed if we allow this present government and political platform to continue beyond 2019.
Now the question is; DO WE HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE?. The answer is a big YES.
We have alternative in the person of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Turaki Adamawa will put Nigeria back on the right track. He will have another economic management team that will help investors return to Nigeria, having ran away since the inception of Buhari/APC government because of harsh economic decisions.
Atiku in his humane nature (as confirmed by those very close to him) will not toe the line of Buhari who couldn't make decisions in a hurry to save the lives of Nigerians that are being killed daily by the Fulani herdsmen.
Today, Nigeria ranks second in the world after Yemen as nations with worst Electrical Power supply. PDP government under Atiku will restore the driven-away  glory of improved power supply we enjoyed under Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's Government courtesy of Professor Nebo  the then Power Minister.
Atiku has a listening ear. He will not develop a deaf ear at the cries of the Nigerian people in the face of hardship and sufferings. He will surly make a difference.
Atiku Abubakar is not a pretender and so will not rule us with pretence. As an egalitarian man that he is, fairness, equity and rule of law will be his watchword.
I strongly believe that with Atiku, there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
