For successful undergoing the 30 days of  holy month of  Ramadan, the  church of Christ Evangelical and life intervention  ministry , Sabon Tasha,  Kaduna North western Nigeria has distributed bags of millets and maizes  to hundreds  of persons  with disabilities  and some members of  internally displaced  person IDPs in some part of the state
According to the General Overseer of the Church Pastor Yohanna Buru, the aims of assisting the less privileged and the IDPs this morning  is to support them with enough food to eat during the season ,so as to enable them enjoy the 30 days of fasting and prayers  with food to break Ramadan fast with happiness
Buru said,the distribution of the millets and maize will enable them  prepare food for their families,and this will ease the pains of going out searching for food to eat.
He said that the Church is in the forefront of promoting interreligious tolerance in Kaduna State, adding that the gesture was to deepen peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians,so as to enhance better understanding among different faith base organizations in the state
Buru said,The church has bought many bags of  food stuff to share to many poor Muslims, in other to encourage them in their  30 days of  fasting and praying ,so that they can pray To almighty God ,to end all the bloodshed,and the daily killings in the northern region which is becoming a big threat to national and international security
He said,every year the church uses to bail out large number of Muslims youth from Kaduna prison ,so as to enable them  get freedom to  go back home and join the rest of their friends,families and relatives in the 30 days of fasting,
“Wemust remember that we are from one family Adam and Eve, worshiping one God. We all believe in paradise and hell, as well as believe in the day of resurrection ,we all have our  holy Books which guide us how to relate with one another”
“We must support our brothers and sisters with what to eat in these 30 days, in view of the high cost of food items in local markets”
He then urged Muslims to redouble their efforts in prayers and read the Holy Qur’an and attend Tafsir lectures, in order to seek God’s blessings and intervention toward over-coming challenges we face in Africa and the world in general, regarding peace and stability.
Buru further pointed out that for the past years the Church had distributed over thousands of  packaged food and drinks to Internally Displaced Persons, destitute and prison inmates and some poor Muslims residing in the State
Additionally, as Muslims around the world are about to start their 30 days fasting,the Christian clerics felicitate with Muslims and stressed the need for prayers for peace and stability in the country
He then tasked Muslims all over the world to remember Internally Displaced Persons, destitutes, widows, orphans and inmates in their daily prayers , and also to support them with food, clothes and shelter.
He   appealed to marketers across the region to cut-down the prices of foodstuff so as to enable both Muslims and Christians and other religious believers to buy commodities at affordable prices.
Responding on behalf of the person with disability in Kaduna State , Comrade Rilwani Abdullahi, says we are really glad with the food distribution which the church has brought to us ,adding that this will surely help us with what to eat, as no one remembers their existence .
Rilwanu then appealed to wealthy Muslims to remember the less privileged,orphanage children and the IDPs  in the society. "This is theonly man can care for the less previlaged in the society”
Also  responding on behalf of the refugees in Kaduna,Maman Aisha Gamborin Gala,who is one of the refuges from Borno State that are staying in Kaduna ,says only God will bless the church for remembering the IDP
She said ,Ramadan has come,no food to start fasting with.
Maman Aisha said,we received maize and millet with some money to enable us start the Ramadan
Aisha also called on Muslim scholars to use the Ramadan season to pray for the country,and also pray for North-easthern Nigeria,so that they can go back home and join their families.
She concluded by also calling on wealthy inviduals  to help the needy with food to eat during the period of Ramadan
