Christians have been charged to carry out with diligence the job schedules God has give each and everyone He created.
Speaking at the Prayer Summit organised by the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) Nigeria, South West District 4, Lagos, held at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) compound in Surulere Lagos, the speaker, Dr. Duran Ajayi reminded Christians that they carried an ordination of God to be fruitful.
With reference to the book of John chapter 15 verse 16, Dr. Ajayi who is a National Director of the Full Gospel reminded his audience that they did not choose themselves instead they were chosen and ordained by God. He therefore charged them to go and bring forth fruits. It was by carrying out the job schedules of God "that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father (God) in my (Jesus) name, He may give it to you," he reminded the large audience.
"Behold, I have given you unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you," the speaker assured the audience.
He therefore enjoined the members to be diligent in their job schedules as Christians in their professions, offices, workshops, shades, shops, etc. "God does not need you to kill anybody for Him. If killing people will help make one go to heaven, then why did those who represented instigate others not first kill anybody themselves," wondered.
Dr. Ajayi who is the chief Medical Director of Rophe Hospital, Agbara Estate Lagos, emphasized the need to break group curses making reference to the second book of Samuel chapter 9 where Ziba with his entire house was cursed to till the ground so that Mephiboshet son of Jonathan and his family would eat.
The Summit had earlier began with prayer for the District, FGBMFI, Nigeria, etc. Engr. Ebere Uwadoka was called upon to lead in the direction. He prayed for success in the forthcoming convention on November; airlift to foreign countries, etc.
Dr. Nnamdi Menakaya prayed for God's mercy on members, forgiveness of sins and for God to uproot anything not planted by Him in Nigeria, scatter any evil counsel in the leadership of the country, among others.
Other National Directors that participated in the summit included Dr. Okey Akpa who officiated the offering and disclosed that, "When what you have is not enough to carry your project, know that what you have is a seed and you should sow it." He backed his assertion with the content of 1King 17:7.
Welcoming invitees, conditions of being a member were explained to them. They included being born again and desirous to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, etc. FGBMFI members are FAT meaning that they are faithful, available and teachable.
The District Coordinator, Clifford Onyeje brought the meeting to an end with some announcements and appreciation for large turn out of members. Highlight of the Summit was special prayer for UNILAG Vice Chancellor for Academics with his wife. Dr. Ajayi handled that as the couple knelt in humility and total submission to God for direction.
